There were a few decisions we made early on with the race given our constraints and goals for the race. We identified 3 areas that we wanted to really focus on: * Course Design * Safety * Ease to Racers We wanted to be as open to team structure as possible, but we could not reconcile allowing soloists, no matter how experienced, with our safety standards. Naturally, this is a decision that each RD has to decide upon, but for us, we could not justify the risk of a potential/freak mishap in the woods gone south due to an absence of teammates able to communicate a need for help with the additional soloist registrations that we would get. There were other factors as well, such as course design and logistics, but ultimately the main one was safety. We certainly hope that you will understand our decision, as we debated it for some time early on. At this point, I know that there are several people looking to form a team for this race, and so please please please reach out so that you get to experience this event!
