Team ROC Gear/4LPH4 1337 is an adventure racing team located in the Atlanta area. We've dubbed ourselves the most technologically advanced team out there. We have been competing for two years, during which time we've fielded 21 teams at races from Florida to Virginia. The team's 8 members have backgrounds in competitive distance running, mountain biking, rowing, and triathlon.

4LPH4 1337 Adventures, LLC is an adventure event promotion company founded by Team ROC Gear/4LPH4 1337's captain Josh Forester and team member Jack Forester. The company's immediate focus is the promotion of adventure racing through events such as the Atomic Adventure Race.

Before deciding to invest in putting on an adventure race, we took an inventory of our strengths to see how we could contribute to the sport. Here's the list:

1. Our team is a really close-knit group of individuals who spend time both on and off the race course. We have become very familiar with one another and the benefit is efficiency in all that we do.
2. We have five members that have very strong computer backgrounds, enabling us to bring high tech solutions to a traditionally low-tech sport. Areas where this is of immediate benefit in race management are:
   
   • Collaboration
   • Cartography
   • Race communications
   • Race promotion
   • Sponsorship exposure
3. We have the fiscal ability to raise our own startup costs.
4. We have a huge network of gracious friends and family that have both enjoyed and suffered through our addiction in the past, and are committed to seeing us succeed.
5. We have some wonderful sponsors who have put their trust in us as a team to promote their companies, and who are also willing to promote the race.
6. We have become intimately familiar with the wilderness area north of Atlanta, as this is our training ground.
7. We are relatively new to the sport, though experienced, and have tons of fresh ideas that we could incorporate into an event.

Producing and adventure race has been an inevitability for us for at least a year, it just needed a name. We are proud to announce our premier event, the Atomic Adventure Race.
