If you did not get a chance to read the press release on CheckpointZero.com, the Atomic Adventure Race now has joint title sponsors in Fuji Bikes and Reality Bikes and Skateboards. This is extremely exciting news.
Now for the inevitable question: what does this mean for the competitors?
Well, for those that skim over the small print, here it goes:
- Reality Bikes is providing us with loads of gear--gift certificates, sets of tires, ergo hand grips, saddle bags, water bottles, bike tools, etc. This means tons more loot for the post-race giveaway.
- Fuji Bikes will be providing us with two full suspension mountain bike frames.
- One frame will go to the winners of the elite division, in addition to the 100% off the 2010 Atomic Adventure Race and first pick out of the team member prizes.
- One frame will be put in a drawing for one of the first 20 captains to register and pay for the race (excluding #1, so could be first 21 captains).
On #2 above, looking at the current team list, there are 9 slots left for the drawing. And when you consider the odds, one in twenty for one of these frames is thrilling--the bikes' MSRP is $4,000. So if you are on the fence about the race, it is time to gather your teammates and get registered for this race.
